After a lot of brainstorming and planning things started to become very real as we began working with Massey’s Food Pilot Plant to begin formulating our dreamed-about sheep milk drinks – turning them from an idea into reality. We were involved during the entire process as we wanted to make sure that our products were created using only the best, natural ingredients. This involved a number of bench-top trials and tastings, trialing various combinations of ingredients for each of our flavoured milks. We were determined to create great tasting products without compromising the nutritional qualities. We are very proud of the final products that we eventually came to – vanilla, chocolate and coffee flavoured sheep milk drinks that are 97% sheep milk, with a low amount of added sugar, plus the added benefit of prebiotic fibre from the acacia gum and seaweed extracts.
